So many got actually be with their family. You save on commute time. No rush hour. You get to know your kids. I find many now prefer jobs where they can work from home rather than go work in an office that always has that one or two annoying co-workers that love to cause drama.
I imagine the DS hates all these parents who are actually around their kids now. Can't have that.
I remember thinking when this first started there would be this kind of backlash -- but not at such a high rate.
Once ppl figure out how to have more quality time with their loved ones, they are loathe to give it up.
I think we've also seen a higher rate of side gigs and full time transition to small businesses as ppl realize other options give them more freedom and enough $ to make it. (and maybe more stability when they see their company commit hari kari in the name of "safety" or "equity".
It's bringing families closer together. I read about many students who found their lives actually improved when they were homeschooled. They got to know their parents and siblings again. They actually had stronger friendships. They were free from the bullies and bad influences at school.
When the pandemic started, the news ran all these articles about how domestic abuse would soar and divorces would skyrocket as couples had to be around each other. It was assumed being around your family would be just horrible. Ugh, I have actually get to know this person who used to go to work 60 hours a week.
However, the opposite has occurred. People have actually gotten to know each other again. There are bad stories, but overall it seems like it's helping families. Children are actually being raised by their parents again and not the teachers at schools.
absolutely.
