The devil is fighting real hard to kill babies in Maryland right now!
HB 1171 Constitutional Amendment to add to the Declaration of Rights the Right to Reproductive Liberty. It removes any restrictions on abortion from conception to birth and beyond. The ballot question wording is deceitful and dishonest. It does not mention abortion. It does not state the specific language of the bill the fundamental right "includes but not limited to" the ability to prevent, continue or end their pregnancy. In fact, the ballot language does not even mention "end their pregnancy". The Dems refused to use the word "Abortion" in the Constitutional Amendment to reduce the possibility that voters will actually know that this amendment will remove any rights of a preborn baby to life from conception to birth, and perhaps beyond.
HB 937 Abortion Care Access Act 1. Establishes a $3.5 Million a year budget mandate to train abortion providers. 2. Establishes a program to increase the number of abortion providers in Maryland and that approved non-profit organizations will receive contracts to carry out the program (likely Planned Parenthood and to grow the abortion industry in MD) 3. Removes the requirement that abortions be performed by a licensed physician. 4. Provides that coverage of abortion care will have no co-pays or other cost-sharing requirements. 5. Provide 100% of cost of premium for young adults who have a 0% expected contribution under subsidy eligibility parameters.
SB 669 - (HB 626) Pregnant Person's Freedom Act. On page 2 and 3 SB 669 states:
(g) Nothing in this section shall be construed to confer personhood or any rights on the fetus.
(H) this section may not be construed to authorize any form of investigation or penalty for a person: (1) terminating or attempting to terminate the person’s own pregnancy; or (2) experiencing a miscarriage, perinatal death related to a failure to act, or stillbirth. (i) a person is not subject to criminal penalties or civil damages for aiding, informing, or in any way assisting a pregnant person in terminating or seeking to terminate the person’s pregnancy.
Perinatal is defined as the period from 20 weeks in gestation to 28 days in new born life. SB 669 works together with HB 1171 and HB 937 to remove any protection for babies in the womb and even after they are born.
HB 952 - Require all state health insurance programs to cover abortion and provide a 100% subsidy for young adults.
