Looks dangerous to me then you might not have the ability to get a fire that hot. But then if we really go down the SHTF scenario, it will be like living in the 1800s and long forgotten crafts would make a come back. Maybe I’ve been reading too many prepper books. 😂
Yeah I've thought about that too. I can swing hammer and drive nails, know how to fell a tree, build a fire from scratch, cook in a Dutch Oven, field dress deer and small game, and other such "lost" skills. I have collected a lot of hand tools that don't rely on electricity to run. Oh, and I know how to plant crops, tend them, and harvest them.
I guess my wife and I could make it in a SHTF scenario.
Edit: Forgot to add, courtesy of the USMC, I still know how to hit a target out to 300 yards. Just sayin' ...
Skills (physical skills) will get you thru a crisis. We used to own 100 acres of virgin land. We fenced it, built temporary accommodation by felling trees, put in a couple of dams (bulldozer) but we were on a lake so water was plentiful. Cooked food over open fire, and a zillion other skills. Oh how I wish were were still there. Back then we knew this time was coming, but we never expected to live it. God protect us all.
Prayers for you and your family. I have come to realize that no matter how many skills I have or how much food, silver, and ammo I have, they're all useless unless I am willing to use lethal force to defend my family. That's what usually separated civilized people from barbarians.... I fear in the future that the Progressives are forcing on us, we will all have to become barbarians just to survive.
