ok, it seems like a pretty easy answer in my head but I know I am basing it off of my personal hatred for them so I can only claim it as an opinion or speculation, BUT: do our politicians, while at work, have to pay for gas and food and lodging for travel out of their own pockets? or do their respective departments have a petty cash like account to pay for those things? or more specific, the capitol cafe and other government building(s) facility's-do they charge the politicians for the meal or is it just like a credited x amount of meals a month like college? don't judge me, I'm super stoned, and I know there are more pressing things to worry about, but I am really curious about this. please only fact based answers, or personal experience possibly from someone who has once been employed by the government and might know.

I imagine if you want to find the actual answers to your questions, that would be the first place to look.
this is exactly what I was looking for, and the word I should have used: per diem. thank you. SO we give them a $13 breakfast, $14 lunch, and a $23 dinner (if parameters on this site are set for washington), everyday if they so choose. interesting.
Shut up and take a rip with me. In 3...2...1...
Hell yuh! lol!
