Crucial evidence and information may have been destroyed in several pending criminal cases, said a source who is familiar with such matters in Oklahoma City.
The source, who asked not to be identified, said the blast may have wiped out an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration of a possibly far-reaching narcotics conspiracy.
The source said an attorney told him his client, a defendant in a narcotics case, was offered a "memorandum of cooperation" by the DEA to implicate "at least a dozen high-level distributors" of cocaine, marijuana and heroin.
