I finally got insurance approval after four denials for spinal fusion surgery when everything else failed and I’ve already had two other surgeries for my extreme sciatica from herniated disc and degenerative disc disease. Had my surgery last Friday and am slowly recovering now at home. Pain. Is in back now rather than Butt and leg. Thank you for all the prayers. Anyway, I have been in prayer asking the Lord to be speaking to me and show me directions he wants me to take, warnings, for discernment, help, etc; Last night before bed I was reaching for my deodorant as I always do when I felt that nudge say “No, you don’t need that. You need to be sweating off the remaining drugs from surgery as I want you clear headed and you can’t with that on.” My arm retreated and I left the deodorant. I woke up a little bit ago, drenched in sweat, sheets, quilt, pillows everything for the second time since coming home from the hospital. I know it’s gross, but my point in sharing is that when we ask God for wisdom and discernment, he hears and answers, just not always in our preferred means or ways. Wisdom and Discernment are two of our mightiest weapons for battle along with the Armor of God.
James 1:5,6 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
1 Kings 3:11-12 God said to him, “Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice, behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you.
As someone who had a similar surgery 21-22 years ago, I can say that I feel your pain. My best advice is to heal up as fast as you can, then call a chiropractor. My recovery was much longer than yours will be (mine was 5 years but I also had 4 vertebrae fused, and the surgery was much more crude back then) and still had significant pain even after those 5 years - until I went and got adjusted. My first adjustment literally had me feeling better than I had felt since before my injury. I've continued monthly and have been completely pain-free ever since (over two years). Good luck and God Bless!
The only good chiropractor is the one who diagnosed me and said I have Degenerative Disc Disease amd I believe he’s retired now and is in WA if he’s still living and I’m in Missouri now. He is Jim Caveizel’s dad James Caveizel Sr. He saw my dad’s entire family when I was a kid. I need to find a new one plus a Naturpath if insurance will cover as I cannot afford out of pocket when I can’t work.
You're absolutely right. Finding the right chiropractor for your needs is of utmost importance.
