LARP of recent announcement. Oh wow preservation notices.. Now they know exactly what to destroy.
Sure they'd know exactly what to destroy. But if the authorities already has access to the stuff they want preserved, it's a fantastic way to prove that a crime has been committed.
"We can prove that they had A, B and C on their server on day 1. After we asked them to preserve it, they proved that no such thing was present on their server on day 2."
