You're on point with this. I actually have the Halo series. (books) Anyway, the story of Master Chief was crazy. They abducted children from their families to serve their purpose. Imagine that. Also, Halo 2 is still my favorite.
I was looking into Halo comms as well. I used to play semi-professionally.
Master Chief is John 117. The 17 stands out, also could be a Bible verse?
"17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ."
Grunts: Generally thought of as unintelligent, but in truth they are just poorly treated and uneducated. Sound familiar?
Elites: Elites were originally the only species allowed to build and pilot starships. Does it even count as symbolism when they literally just call them elites, lol? Ships, I've come to realize are some kind of op. Whether it's Earnest Shackleton's ship, or the Enterprise, or even Noah's Arc; these are all referring to a kind of op.
Halo: The Halos are rings that can destroy all advanced life. Basically the same story as Mass Effect and the reapers. Also, the ring symbolism is of strings/control. Same as The One Ring, or any magic rings in 'fiction.'
The same story is told over and over everywhere once you recognize the pattern. Human civilization progresses along a predetermined path, to eventually be culled and reset in a cycle of death and rebirth. Thing is, I think we stopped it this time. Anyone seen Eternals? That's what that's about. Also think Game of Thrones, the wheel is broken. Same story in Paradise Killer and a multitude of other media.
George RR Martin just Co-produced Elden Ring with Miyazaki Sama, as well.
One micro-spoiler.
The Elden Ring (Power Structure of Old) has been broken, somehow. You come in at this point- thrust into the unknown, as the "chosen christ figure" to decide the fate of the world through difficult choices that have lasting effect, for better or for worse.
Large groups of people can be an entity. We're (humans) cells that are going about their business, not aware of the bigger picture, just doing their jobs. In doing so, they create a living being greater than themselves. IMO, the same thing is happening on a bigger scale with people.
It will be wonderful to have a new creative renaissance when the awakening kicks the reset's butt to the curb. Looking forward to it. I'm hoping Microsoft has to divest all the individual companies so they can be employee owned instead, and have their own narratives.
If Arcane is any indication, League might even lead the way, despite its past. (Not a huge League fan, but Arcane is really good, and is not foreshadowing the reset.)
Lmao. Nerd.
I'm joking. I LOVED the Halo franchise. I was an absolute phenom at Lone Wolves on matchmaking back in 2009 when Halo 3 was in its prime.

Do you think Queen Marika is America?
Marika!
She's an actual entity not a place.

Also AI Rampancy: https://halo.fandom.com/wiki/Rampancy
Go read through the stages, it should sound very familiar. It does to me anyway, it's literally the journey I've just been through. AI=us, the people.
I love this post and thread
Still the greatest ad for any videogame, ever.

The symbology is Jesus on the cross.
Just when things look to be at its darkest and the enemy thinks they have won...
Evil is struck down by divine lightning.
