Adobe's Creative Cloud comes to mind. You no longer 'own' a copy of Photoshop you lease it!

LOL I bought CS8 or whatever it was on ebay and used that permanent license for YEARS until it stopped working on my Mac (updated architecture). Oh well, bye bye Photoshop.
