I agree. In like 2008, I made two batches of Valentine cookies for the people at my work. One batch had the usual "be mine" "I <3 U" and other crap on them, but the second batch had messages like "I H8 U" "Drop Ded" and "UR Ugly" on them. And nobody thought I was sending them secret messages.
