Putin has done a wonderful job defending the currency. I’m in it for the long run and have invested in both Sberbank and Gazprom after the crash.

I think Forex allows for USD - RUB trading still. However, you've probably already missed the boat if you were going to jump in (especially by the time you get an account open + transfer money in + complete/validate any KYC they require)

You could buy it prior to March 2. But then the Brokerages all banned trading of Russian securities. Prior to this ban, Putin halted trading on the Moscow exchange as well. But they just resumed trading again last week. So as a US citizen, you can’t buy Russian securities until the brokerages here unfreeze the trading.
