I’m pretty sure that was intentional. If they said from the beginning we were going on a 12-16yr journey, most people would’ve lost interest. But if you look around present day, it’s clear why it’s going to take that long. It takes time to shift hundreds of millions (billions?) of people. “The PILL must be easy to swallow”. It’s important it unfolds naturally
