My niece's daughter says she is lesbian. 3rd grader. I asked her if she knew what being a lesbian means. She said it's a girl who think boys are gross. I then asked if she would kiss a girl. She said no, God doesn't like that! I told my niece I thought maybe her daughter thinks being a lesbian is a career choice. She (the 3rd grader) actually told me that being a lesbian would make her more money. Edit: I failed to mention her step sister is the groomer. They do no live together. Same groomer, different step sister, told she was bisexual. She's in 2nd grade.
Sad. 'Bet that kind of thing happens A LOT and the kids are pigeonholed becuse their uninformed or spur-of-the-moment statements are taken at face value.
She's just lucky she didn't say she wanted to be a boy 'cause some parents would have immediately started the transitioning process.
No. We are actively trying to de-program both of these girls. I only got involved because my niece's husband recently passed away. I was not his favorite human. 40yo. Cheated on his wife. Had a baby with another woman. 3 women, 6 kids. He was a POS!
Good for you and them. Terrific that you care about them and are willing to help them.
Society is falling apart because too many kids didn't/don't have that.
