I think what you are witnessing is the fact that Putin is putting Russia first and foremost, like any leader should.

White hat or not, what matters is the policies enacted to ensure the prosperity of his Nation and people. Lots of debates on this obviously, but it’s not like Putin controls everything in Russia…. Russia has DS actors and detractors too.
