Also worth bearing in mind that from his childhood he knew his mom and older brother were killed, and at some point grew in realization to know that his dad was responsible or at the least complicit. I'm glad I wasn't raised in a cult like that, where just trying to escape is nearly certain death.

Odd how so many see Hunter's vulnerability but fail to look at the wretched upbringings of all the other sociopaths in power. Perhaps Soros was damaged by his father, eh?

Maybe it is Hunter's public brokenness that triggers the compassion? There is an assumption of altruism on his part regarding the laptop. How do we know his motives? I am not feeling compassion towards him.
