Samsung has quietly removed the letter ‘Z’ from its ‘Galaxy Z Fold’ and ‘Flip’ smartphone branding in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.

The company is yet to provide any explanation for the change. However, the move comes amid a somewhat cultural backlash towards the letter - which has become a symbol of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

Curiously, the Ukrainian Samsung website still retains the ‘Galaxy Z’ naming, according to reports.

I do also see however that the Z flip phones still show up on Samsung.com here in SA...
