The templars were an area of special interest to me in college, and I read as many primary sources as I could find including an English version of the trial transcript. I wouldn't put it past them like so many organizations to have been corrupted by the Eastern religions they came into contact with. Not vastly different from Judaism being perverted during the Babylonian exile
For sure i think the king not wanting to pay his debts to them and the jealousy of the church at the tremendous wealth they had built up from their international banking empire of sorts, had a lot to do with why they were persecuted.
Also in the matrix of possibilities is that they discovered the Grail and it may have been the bloodline of Christ, which the church has suppressed forever. Some of the walls in one of the old prisons where they were kept bear carvings of what are supposed to be Mary Magdalene in an obviously pregnant state, and there are Templar symbols all over a certain region of France that relate to fertility such as grapes etc in the churches, carved into the walls etc
Imagine the power of knowing or even being one of Christ's descendants especially at that time and the church wanting to sell the idea that Christ was single and a virgin most likely.
Exactly......Or that Jesus himself never had sex? He was a 30-ish year old Male when he was Martyred. To think he didnt "Get...it....on..." Would be foolish no??? I imagine there is Many people running around with the blood of actual Jesus Christ in them. And also Thank You for all the replies. and the actual responses! I hadn't known about them carving things into France. I looked at them in a more "Occult" Aspect. While doing research on The Baphomet.
Yeah there were definite baphomet allegations too which is oddly specific if you think about it for the Era.
Jesus was also an Essene, and a Rabbi, and my understanding is that to be an Essene Rabbi you had to be married back then. So why are we taught otherwise?? Idk.
Look up iirc Sinclair Chapel for an interesting look at some of the odd carvings on a church level. Good talking to you too and you're welcome!
