It's always nice to have both a revolver and a sliding receiver.
Sliders for volume, Revolvers for reliability.
Revolvers, when maintained, will almost never fail on you. When you need to shoot something, it's going to work. At least, as long as you don't put dud ammo in it.
Revolvers are also easier to clean once you know how to get in all the nooks and crannies.
I respect anyone who recognizes that even the "older models" have merits, especially when modern stamped-metal and composite frames are made of sub-standard metals and plastics that brittle in sunlight and dry conditions. The recent Berettas having their frames crack near the extraction port taught me that.
