I think a slightly more nuanced adjustment helps …
The Catholic Church, as in the Vatican, is not THE Church.
It is an Organization … a Corporation, and in it’s current form, it’s a Nation State, with it’s own Central Bank and Political Structure masquerading as Holy Men.
What you’re saying is you do not respect the ‘Vatican Corporation’ .. and even pre-Vatican II, it wasn’t as rosy as we think it was.
Totally agree. The Catholic Church had issues before Vatican II, but arguably better than it is now.
