I entered the airport maskless. I went through 3 checkpoints maskless and was only intercepted at the 4th checkpoint and given a mask. I halfway wore it for about 5 mins and took it back off. I traveled through another 2 checkpoints and asked for directions maskless. The last time I wore it was to board the plane. The end of that. The 4 flight attendants never said a word. Non of the passengers said a word. The look of envy and fear still lives in their eyes.
I just wanted to share my experience. 98% of the people I saw were masked and there was ALOT of people here.
A tale of two flights---
I did that from LA to Boston and back last October. 1 checkpoint outbound (and the rental car counter in Boston), 1 security checkpoint in Boston, as you did. Mask-free the whole flight, and in the airport except for the brief checkpoints.
Contrast that to Denver, just last month. Boarding in Denver, the security people stopped me 4 times, and one TSA goon tried to disqualify my mask (fakemaskworldwide.com -the gaiter) and give me their blue paper instead. The flight crew (same airline as the more friendly Boston trip: United) reminded people at least 6 times during the 2-hour flight (both ways) about the requirement to wear masks except when actively eating and that it must be completely on and all that BS. On the way back, the pilot even came on and threatened to have someone arrested on arrival. (I couldn't see a fuss anywhere on the plane.) Denver airport and the flight crews matched its cabal reputation.
By the way, away from the airport, the people in Colorado were free-facing freedom lovers, from my experience.
