This shouldn’t be a surprise for anyone.
What it really shows is your approach was flawed.
What I do is slowly beg the question and understand from the onset that my case will never be quickly made and the best hope is to punch enough of a hole the mustard seed takes root.
Most smart people toil with Reconciliation.
As such - what to do?
Poke holes. Small ones. Believe it or not finding authoritative entities and pointing to them instead of making blanket statements is going to do the most in my experience. For example WTC7. Plenty of angles exist that show actual explosives going off - all pale to the finesse of showing the BBC saying the building collapsed 30 mins before it did.
Don’t be hasty. Target people of importance and keep the work going. Leg work is required. That’s it. Stay focused and never be negative. They want you to go negative so they can emotionally pivot. Don’t identify with what you are saying - only “well I don’t understand this. What do you think?” Let them draw their own conclusions. You can’t win by forcing it.
Remember the goal - not that they see as you do - only that they learn to step back and attempt to ascertain more of the big picture.
Argue ends and merits vs their orthodoxy. These folks are taught to champion authority. This is why they seek sources constantly & trust fact checkers that have repeatedly been caught falsifying information.
Use Grace. Remember - anyone reacts to lies. That realization is hard - be a rock they can lean on.
