The more I research this, the more I'm starting to question the official narrative. I always look for converging lines of evidence before I validate theories....and there are plenty. I know Q answered the question: Is the earth flat? Q said NO. However, I also don't believe the earth is FLAT, because it's not---there are mountains, valleys, hills, etc. The question should have been, "is the earth a globe?" Still researching as this belief system is hard to undue, it's all we've known and have been shown our entire lives, our parents' lives, grandparents' lives, etc. It's so engrained in our consciousness.
There has been sound mathematical evidence that Earth is a globe since ancient Greece, Dante Alighieri in the early XIV century already depicted it as a sphere, aswell as the planets, and that was at least 200 years before the Heliocentric model.
How do I know this can be trusted ? The mathematical formulas and measurements are still there, and you can do the number crunching yourself and achieve the same results.
I find it odd that you shut down possible theories as conspiracy. On a Q board, no less, where we are constantly labeled as crazy conspiracy nutjobs. Kettle, meet pot. How about doing your own research instead of just absorbing what you've been told. Isn't this the point of Q? Open sourced research...the bible is very clear on this topic. I'm still researching this topic, have been since 2015 or so, and the converging lines of evidence are pointing more and more towards the biblical view of our world.
Not such a thing as viewpoints with old-time Euclidian geometry. You can repeat some of them yourself with some help from the internet. Ask someone to take a picture of a clear night sky star on different hemispheres of the globe (preferably with a telescope) and you'll see that the constelations change (We have the Northern star from the Ursa Major and the Southern Hemisphere has the Crux constelation (the Southern cross). I know this after seeing pictures taken from friends who are photography enthusiasts and took some of these pictures when they went to Australia
The mere existence of timezones is proof that earth has a rounded and tilted shape and revolvers around the sun, or else the sun would always hit the same longitude with the same intensity all year round, which is responsible for the existance of seasons and why our seasons are the complete inverse of our friends' under the Equator. I know this because I have friends in South America and they are under a warm summer sun in December while I freeze my back off shoveling snow out of my driveway
And, for the last one, you can do the Foucault pendulum. Just tie a weight to a string and slightly spin it, with time, you'll see it spinning in reverse, proving earth is rotating under your feet.
Then again, I never believe anything just because someone told me so. I tested it, repeated it multiple times. And now I believe it.
Ask someone to take a picture of a clear night sky
Looking up to determine the shape of what is in the opposite direction is both foolish and stupid. The shape of the world isn't hidden in the sky. That's dumb.
The mere existence of timezones is proof that earth has a rounded and tilted shape
I know you are just repeating things you heard, because this is also incredibly stupid. Timezones are arbitrary. We made them up. We could unmake them in a whim. They aren't even straight lines / equal areas. They are as real as country/property borders and for the exact same reasons.
proving earth is rotating under your feet.
This is a misunderstanding, but will take longer to explain/explore. I hope you will join us to explore your views further!
I tested it, repeated it multiple times. And now I believe it.
The former is laudable and I extend my sincere kudos to you (almost NO ONE bothers to do that). The latter is why you fail. Belief has NO place in knowledge and is directly across purposes to it. Please discuss it further with me (ideally on the community I created for such discussions. Apparently GA doesn't really want that sort of thing here)
Also, quite the opposite. I stand to prove with arguments backed by experimentation and logic that there's NOT a conspiracy with this subject. Matter of fact, I can suspect, for all I know, that you were fooled by these theories, and that they were injected amidst us in order to muddy the waters and distract us from what matters (exposing the cultural degradation and the corruption being forced by the corrupt global syndicate upon us).
I have to agree with both of you. If round Earth is true (which from my observations, it is), then it will remain true. Kind of how the Bible challenges us to question it, while a fake text doesn't want us to question it.
What I don't agree with is the mantra: "The media said x is not y. Therefore, since the media lies 100% of the time, x is y." Come on, the media is right at least like the broken-clock being right with the time or the boy who cried wolf but there was actually a wolf there.
So I am fooling myself with my own research and observations? Not likely....I know how to research and have been studying this for over 7 years. I'm still not convinced 100%, but there are converging lines of evidence to support. What research have you done to prove the earth is a globe?
There has been sound mathematical evidence that Earth is a globe since ancient Greece
This is a misunderstanding. Math doesn't provide evidence. Math is merely a language for description. It's like you're saying english provides evidence for earth being a globe.
The mathematical formulas and measurements are still there,
Formulas, sure! Measurements? No.
What measurements did you have in mind and think were relevant to the shape of the entire world?
Not everything is a conspiracy, friend.
True. Humanity requires no conspiracy to be constantly stupid and wrong as it historically always is.
The question should have been, "is the earth a globe?" Still researching as this belief system is hard to undue, it's all we've known and have been shown our entire lives, our parents' lives, grandparents' lives, etc. It's so engrained in our consciousness.
Why do you think it's a belief system? Why, say when continuously traveling, do objects suddenly appear on the horizon, grow larger and more detailed as you approach, be at their largest and most detailed when you're right next to them, and become less detailed and grow shorter as you go away, until they disappear below the horizon?
That's a great question, and one I witness on my own. I fish out in the middle of the sea of cortez. Now, from shore, the mountains of Baja are barely visible. But still, visable. The distance from my home in Sonora to Baja is around 65 miles, +/-. If the earth was spherical, the curvature...I shouldn't be able to see the mountains from that distance. Do the math on that....like you stated, the horizon should swallow it up so the mountains cannot be seen. Now, those mtns are not the Rockies, not as tall. Furthermore, in the middle of the northern sea of cortez where I prefer to be, lol, I can actually see the sandy beaches to El Golfo, San Felipe, and Puerto Penasco. I'm over 30 miles out from each of those shores, it's equidistant. I shouldn't be able to see a sand beach from either of those places, if the earth was spherical. So to answer your question, imho, it's a matter of perspective. The further away an object is, the smaller it looks.
But the perspective exists because of the lateral and longitudinal curvatures of a round Earth. Weather, refraction, or mirage-effects can change how far you can see things on the horizon.
On a flat-perspective Earth, wouldn't objects keep their same height no matter if you're traveling to or away from them? The only way you know you're getting near or further away would be detectible by the atmospheric and ambient effects existing between you and the object. ๐คจ๐ฃ It's hard for me to visualize because we perceive things in 3D, not 2D projection.
Or perhaps the Earth is a 3D crescent-shaped snowglobe (the base would be curved up in the direction of the dome, not flat). Filling out the void space underneath the curved base would be the fires and magma. However, wouldn't this whole unit look again, kind of spherical?
Could be, I personally think it's not flat d/t the hills/valleys, peaks, etc. I question everything. Next time I'm out I'm taking my binoculars to see if I can see people on the beaches, lol. But if the earth was spherical, the sandy beaches would disappear at around 24-25 miles or so. The fact I can see them means something is off....I don't have all the answers but I know most of the things we've been taught are not right. We should question everything for ourselves...
Because it demonstrably is. Ask someone what they think the shape of the world is, and their most common answer will be "I believe ..." This isn't coincidence.

It's a little more complicated than that (but not much).
