They originally did. All super chargers were supposed to be solar, and free for all drivers forever.

Only the first couple were solar and they started charging money so elon could be the richest person alive. They lie and pretend free was a limited thing but you can look up elon saying it, all charging all card, free forever. Nope. They even remove free charging from cars that had it originally. Imagine Honda sneaking in to hour car and stealing the radio because they want you to pay them for a new XM. Tesla actually does that with lotta stuff.
