I had a really bad episode of sleep paralysis last night and it felt demonic in nature. It happens to me once or twice every year it seems. As darkness starts to settle in for the night, I’m getting scared to go to sleep in a little while. If you’re reading this can you pray for me? Thank you

I used to get them at times too, but only when laying on my back. I’m a permanent side sleeper now because of it. Give it a try
I'll chime in for a +1 on this in case OP hasnt heard this.
I used to have episodes about weekly for years. I dont think I ever had a single one that wasnt with me laying on my back.
It only happens when I lie on my left side, weird....
I remember it having something to do with the stomach acid as to whether or not it's a nightmare type of dream or a pleasant one.
It never happens on my back or right side.
I have troubles in laying on my left side also, I always thought this could have to do with the heart being uncomfortable
When you are on your right side, you should be better oxygenated, because your right lung has more surface area and gravity is helping the blood flow, while there is less pressure on the heart. But there are other factors, like how much food is in your stomach, or gas. Another thing could be a kink in your neck that causes pressure on the big blood vessels in the neck.
I've had these happen to me while sleeping on my stomach (I'm a stomach sleeper). It felt like gravity had increased 10 fold. I couldn't move no matter how many commands I sent to my body. The only things I could move were my lungs to breathe and my eyes.
yes! just a weight pressing down. my eyes never open until its over - idk if its bc they CANT open or if im just too scared to try it. While you're in the midst of it, it all feels like a blur
Somehow I opened my eyes, but it took a great amount of effort and courage because I didn't want to SEE if there was anything there. There wasn't, not that I saw, but it was so dark in my room I don't think I could see anything anyway.
Yeah I’ve had it happen on my back before and it was extra terrifying. I was on my side last night though
Same here.
