News 4 reported last year that a trainspotter in February 2021 witnessed Michalski lie down across train tracks at the Depew Amtrak Station as a slow-moving train approached.

I dont know how you fail at this if you are genuinely trying to die. But presumably the more serious attempts are closer to potential release of information about his wrongdoings.. so likely we will find out soon who he crossed, or what he knew was about to be released about his activities.
