Once an animal bites someone it’s usually automatic. They normally hold him for a few days but when there is a bite or attack they test anyway. Of course that I’m assuming is circumstantial as there are differences in a house pet biting someone and a wild animal biting someone. Wild animals is def automatic. He could have had no symptoms and still required euthanasia and they would send the head off to be tested. With “supposedly” alot of people getting bit there prob was no other choice. There is no relocating an animal that has attacked a human. Now I’m not sure about the accuracy of the story, I honestly didn’t read the article, I’m just responding with what I do know about animals who bite someone and the subject around rabies specifically.
