It used to be an unspoken, unwritten mandatory rule that people be allowed visitors while hospitalized. Then "visiting hours" were introduced, and that started the descent.
Service workers stopped treating people as humans and instead treated them as widgets. Then they got insulted when you watched them work on the widgets, kicking relatives out of operating rooms. COVID allowed them to kick everyone out of the hospital so they could work in private.
I am certain that medical misadventure set records in the past couple years.
I think also this applies to Covid visiting restrictions. Still have this in Ohio. God bless this man and his thoughts. The parents/loved ones forced to die alone in NHs and Hosps without family was UNFORGIVABLE..

Sounds like every hospital experience I’ve had. They’ve completely lost their purpose.
