Bear in mind that half of the population has an I.Q. below 100. It's just a fact of life, and no disparagement. Just as half the people are below an average height. But that half will always have trouble reaching the higher shelves. The proper reaction is not disparagement but pity and compassion.

We keep thinking that intellectual limitations can be overcome by an act of will.

As for those better-endowed, they have a moral corruption they must overcome: dishonesty.
