Looking for ideas on treating loss of taste after covid (several months now)

A good friend of mine has lost his sense of taste and im curious if anyone has succeeded in restoring theirs and how you did it?

I used to have all kinds of things bookmarked about various covid and vaccine health issues but ive lost them. Any advice is welcome!
