Is Cheesus meant to be the mockery and scoffing that it appears to be?
17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.18 They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” 19 These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. (Jude 1:17-19)
Again,- not Christs words. The same way leftists cling to their ideological narrative, fundamentalist Christian’s cling to their narratives and stories vs the actual root of it all.
Sorry, I listen to the few words Christ and god said in the Bible and the few stories that can be corroborated. I care not for stories and letters mere mortal men have written, regardless of if they are canon or not.
And cheesus seems like a funny name and concept. Is it a Jesus made of cheese? A Jesus tk cheeses? Is it a cheese Jesus made as a savior to fellow cheese? Is it a Jesus about being “cheesy”? Very few things in life should be taken serious - lighten up and learn to enjoy life and laugh at the eternal joke it is.
But I’m sure I’m satanic or something cuz I don’t cling to the whole “don’t question or laugh at any of this” type stuff that was conveneitaly put into the New Testament by a council of policital leaders, right? Lmao
Oh sheep, you are awake only recently… but thankfully you are.
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
Again, not corroborated gospel.
And please see my original comment, specifically about idiot fundamentalist defaulting to just throwing New Testament quotes similar to leftists throwing dumbass quotes from “experts” instead of using actual thought and critical thinking
Jesus stated this in the corroborated gospel that you make reference to:
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3)
Do you believe what Jesus said in red letters here, u/cheesus ?
Do you believe that eternal life rests in the knowledge of the God of the Bible, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He sent?
Happy Palm Sunday.
Not just the Gospels, but all Scripture:
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Jesus stating that He is God is corroborated in the red letters of the Gospels:
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” (John 8:58)
Do you believe that Jesus is God as He stated in the Gospels?
Jesus stating that he came to die for the ransom of many is corroborated in the red letters of the Gospels:
"just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matt. 20:28)
Do you believe that Jesus came to die on the cross and give His life as a ransom for many?
Jesus stating that He is the only way to the Father is corroborated in the red letters of the Gospels:
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
Do you believe that Jesus is the way?
In the Gospels, Jesus responded to Satan by throwing out Scriptural quotes:
4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempteda by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]”
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city(H) and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]”(K)
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'
11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
(John 4:1-11)
Should Christians not follow the example of Jesus?
Did Jesus not employ the right responses to Satan?
