Reverse Osmosis (RO) water filters are around 150 to 200. They filter out everything. Keep in mind that they also remove trace minerals that are important, so you need to use supplements for those.
Agree, very similar. I have two 20 x4.5 on the main water (one sediment and one carbon block) I have a post RO mineralizer for taste and some elemental mineral. I have not added anything for taste at this point. But what a difference it makes in the quality of the water.
Ha! I have done extensive backpacking - hiking in the sierras and have had glacial water along with pure spring water, nothing tastes better! I have looked at a UVC setup along with an ozone injection, but at my current house, that would be overkill.
Agree water is critical and going into it, I wanted to get my water and storage capabilities refined. Best thing I have done. Even being on a municipal feed, the amount of shit I collect in my pre filtration validates the need every time you do a filter swap! Just remember to add something to "polish" the water post RO to remineralize and add taste or alkalinity, if that is your desire.

Glad to see others with the same concern!
