I personally hope it stays that way. I grew up on Disney characters, Mouseketeers and cartoons in the 50's and I feel totally betrayed by their duplicity.
I'm glad we didn't get the Mickey Mouse Club on TV when I was growing up. The original run was on ABC, and we didn't get an ABC station in our area until a few years later.
I did watch film of one episode when I was in college in the 70s. The first children's show I was able to see on TV was Captain Kangaroo.

It would be nice if all the old shows still existed so they could be reshown. With computer tech, they could be colorized for the kids of today.
I do know the man who currently owns Bunny Rabbit, Mr. Moose, Dancing Bear, as well as the Captain's jacket, wig, and the keys to the Treasure House.
