Then gasoline is the weak link for gas cars. Without an oil refinery in your backyard, you'll be reliant on gasoline rationing. There's literally nothing unique about electric cars, aside from the fact you can charge them off solar panels.

While you can charge off solar panels, you might need to leave it charging for a long time or have a large solar panel array.
