That's almost what I feel when I go into a big city. I can't wait to get back out. I have decided to never go back to one. I will never see NYC. Philadelphia was hellish, and from pictures I've seen, the area I visited has gotten even worse.
But I won't cry like a baby about it. If I don't like a situation, I just move on.
NYC is a shit hole, Philly even more so. Was there with my husband last summer, and there was a homeless man charging at people with his penis in hand—broad daylight, right downtown. The whole place smelled like piss and garbage.
is the smell as bad as the French Quarter in New Orleans?
Never having been to New Orleans, I can’t say…but it was BAD.
The time I was in Philadelphia, I was coming down Broad Street. There was a multi-story building being gutted. There was actually a bulldozer going through the first floor. Then I saw a drunk hanging out of a window a few floors up. That same day, I saw a really, really ugly hooker standing on the corner.
I went downtown, and there were cars double parked, even triple parked. Some were parked down the center of the street, and I even saw one parked on the sidewalk in front of a store. I was behind a police car, and it didn't stop for a single red light. It was just driving through without stopping.
Yeah I have to go to NYC sometimes for work and am always relieved the minute the train leaves the station to take me home.
Never felt compelled to post on the internet about it. Except for this post now lol
