Yeah, I was there! I was well-read as an elementary school student. I was always amazed at how poorly other students would read aloud, reading as if there were a stop sign between words, or question marks behind words of more than two syllables . . . I was even MORE amazed to see that trend continue through high school and into college.

I pity the students of today, and my grandson is among them. He is an exemplary student in a sea of dumbed-down and programmed incompetents. Fortunately, he's not in one of the hoards of lost-cause high schools of this country, where good teachers are mocked, ridiculed, ignored and assaulted, and where abhorrent "woke" teachers use their voter-paid salaries to indoctrinate children into their own insane political views and warped perceptions of reality. If we didn't have hope in the Lord, we would have no hope at all!
