Let's just suppose Disney was not always involved in some vile shit. By the time Maxwell was doing press and fundraisers for Disney, I am quite certain she made it clear what she was about, and how they could get involved. By the time Little Saint James got listed as a Disney Cruise stop-off point, I am certain they had made their decision to get in on the business plan Maxwell presented to them.
