I'm sorry to hear that. I honestly didn't realize how serious it can be. Widespread death in the 1300's sure, not much in the way of medical knowledge then, but without prompt treatment it is deadly. I have acquired knowledge today.

I know most of the OG's saw/see it but there are a lot of newer accounts here that tend to get worked up. That's ok, we all have to learn and we can help them out if they are willing to listen and keep an open mind.

Ah, separation of powers in action. Although, it seems that concept has gone out the window in recent years.

Sealing and unsealing of court documents is a pretty muddy area and it's way beyond what I comprehend. Lawfags are going to have to answer this one.

It's fake. This X account is known for it. I wish it were true though.

I fry homegrown shredded potatoes in grease from home cured bacon from home grown, home butchered hogs. I see nothing wrong with that! It's good! kek but butter gives them that nice golden color.

I agree about the beef tallow. French fries fried in tallow are great.

As somebody familiar with this subject and the decisions that have to be made in this situation, I was going to somewhat defend this Chief. I say somewhat because while I understand the conflict, I would have sent the crews regardless. Buuuut then I found this and it's just inexcusable.

"Nicks, meanwhile, told KXAN he is aware of some AFD personnel who were contacted by the state on July 2, but those personnel turned down the request to deploy due to a previous “standing order” from leadership, sent through email. KXAN reviewed the email, which was dated June 6 and sent from an AFD Division Chief of Homeland Security and Special Operations. The email said the department was suspending deployments through October 1.

It stated, “The City is facing a budget crisis, and there is currently something like $800,000 in outstanding reimbursements owed to AFD by the State of Texas. The City wants to make sure this money is reimbursed before the end of the fiscal year, and does not want to be in a situation where additional money is expended on deployments and is not recouped before the end of the fiscal year.”

I've been away for a while so I'm just catching up. Is this -"This systematic review revealed no incriminating “client list.” There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions" what we are Reeeins about?

From my point of view, of course this is true. Epstein was a tool. That evidence doesn't belong to him. It belongs to the entities that handled the tool.

You are not wrong, BUT, you might be glossing over the point. - Nobody should be sniffing powder, we all know it's bad, but if a person does it, they shouldn't die because some asshole put fent in it. I understand the arguments here but fent is just stupid and it needs to not be here.

That entire tweet rubs me the wrong way. I don't necessarily disagree with it, but it rubs me wrong. Something is off with it. Seems disingenuous. mabbee it's the misspellings and punctuation errors. idk

Which mod stickied a 3 year old post from a member that hasn't posted anything in a year? Cuz whoever did it, good job. Relevant. Well done.
