Shame on us for not doing our own independent metallurgy testing to authenticate the COA’s (certificates of analysis) that come with every load of materials you source from a vendor. Not doing this testing and simply trusting the source for this level of military manufacturing seems highly incompetent at best but more likely malevolent in nature - was someone on our side being paid off to accept subpar steel and then fraudulently report random quality inspections?
