What does the wasting disease look like or should I look it up? I have deer all over the hillside of my property. I can even see the places where they bed down at night. So I know they are plentiful up there. My first husband (kids father) went deer hunting every year. He dressed them out, I bleached the bathtub and the kitchen sink. We rinsed the deer meat in the bathtub, and then I would put them in cleaner water in the kitchen sink. Then I would cut up the deer loin and other meat that needed sliced in freezer bags and freeze. The larger hams, shoulders I would have to freeze in freezer paper. I think I can still remember how to take care of it. I just want to make sure I get a good deer and not a diseased one.
