The hospital systems are going to pot. LabCorp is signing on with them and it’s very bad. When LabCorp takes over, they fire everyone Ian’s hire people off the street at low wages to handle specimens. They do not have a medical background and a lot of specimens go missing or incorrectly sent to other sections in the lab.
Some people can be taught and they do very well, but we have an extreme high turnover. Directors salaries are profit based, and they also have productivity bonuses. This means you can cut the staff in half and we still have to do the work because productivity will go higher and the directors get more money.
Atrium is a health system with clinics and a large lab that is located in Charlotte. People in North Carolina call Atrium the fungus that keeps spreading because its logo is a tree. The laboratory is gigantic and is near an airport because specimens are flown in for testing.
The laboratory has an extremely high level of turnover, even at the operations level.
