You missed the point of the complaint, it being: if everything is stickied, stickies won't matter. Which is true.
This is a good place because of the mods. Even so, there's a role for polite criticism. I didn't think he was whiny.
And despite everyone's best intentions, a parent still occasionally has to punish a child. Boundaries are good for all parties involved. Healthy.
