Then they won't answer and you'll eventually drop it -- or they'll admit to it all, everyone will be outraged, then some other irrelevant or insignificant thing will happen and we'll all collectively forget about it. Then if it's ever brought up again, it's not really that big of a deal.

If congressional hearings actually accomplished anything, they wouldn't happen.
