The white boogie-man angle was not generating the results they want fast enough, might as well try to drum up a race-war to shake the crazy white gun owners out of their hiding places and make racist remarks on-line so the DS can then push their "White Supremacists are the greatest terrorist threat to our Democracy" narrative.
