I don't really post much, because when I try, I can't seem to figure out how to. And when I have posted in the past, I've noticed that someone else has already posted it. But I do check in here every day to see what's happening. :) Love you guys!
If you look waaay up top, right hand side there is a “new post” button in the dark blue field. Next to the little bell and spyglass. Click on that for a new post and decide what type of thing you’re posting, such as a link or photo or just text. It kind of walks you through it. And make sure you spell everything correctly because there is no way to edit that later.
Don’t worry, many of us have new post anxiety. I check out “hot” first and then “new” because if it isn't there, it’s not likely to be in the “top” post category since they’re older. I have my settings on “hot” as a default and then I always check out “new” after that. That’s just how I do it. No right or wrong way.
I’d like to think we’re all pretty welcoming and understanding, though sometimes a few are irritable and call you out if you mess up. It’s ok. It’s just the internet and you can go on sipping your coffee, the floor isn't going to open up and suck you down. :) Mostly though, the overwhelming response is positive, even if it’s a duplicate sort of post, especially if the topic is very fresh news.
Anyway, I think of myself as sort of a guardian of the new posts. I’ll upvote anyone unless I see it as dooming or shill type garbage. I don't post a tremendous amount because I’m busy reading all the wonderful things that get posted here and searching frantically for more. But that’s about it. Just go for it and remember, most of us are in your shoes.
Hey thanks. The next time I want to post something, I'll give it a try again. :)
I hope it works for you!
