You are right. There are three independent graphs here. They are not meant to be compared to each other. Each graph stands on its own. There are 3 and 1/4 years in each graph. You are to compare the data from each year. There is no trick here.

I would respectfully disagree, fren. How many people that looked at the charts even noticed that the scale was different? I would be willing to bet that most people just looked at the lines and their heights.
This same trick has been used to justify all of the climate change hype, as well. By playing with the scale, one can make a tiny blip of change appear to be a mighty mountain of change.
You have a point, and btw, thanks for your respectful reply. An example of how good discussion goes on. Most people, at least in my opinion, are quite lazy (me too, as that isn't all a bad thing). The scale is important,, and it is included. If people are ignoring it, all we can do is point it out. We can't think for them. That said, the graphs are still pretty damning.
