You can clearly see there is no curved distortion, and that is why I linked the photo I did.
Think about this too; a snake has, for lack of better term, a slitted pupil, so it would see the building in the same way the picture shows.
It's interesting to see the number of people either downvoting me or criticizing me, when all I did was post an observation about how the photo was altered by a special lens. I made no other comment about the Vatican, et al...
Not questioning your intentions, but if you want to prove distortion, you need to show a picture taken from the same location, pointing in the same direction, undistorted. I'm interested to see one myself.
Someone posted this exact same OP a few days ago, and they linked the photo you describe, taken from the same spot. I've tried to locate the post, or the photo, and can't at the moment. You'll just have to take my word for the fact that the auditorium has parallel sides, and the "snake" is just an illusion created by the lens.
