he had possession of the real laptop, he maybe networked it and had a nose around, it's a common thing with computer repair guys.

They did. Maxey does not have the actual laptop, he has a disk image ... I mean, if he has what he claims he has, it's hard to actually tell because he hasn't released anything yet that wasn't already publicly available.
