If you ask me (and my opinion is just that) elon is obviously using his loud voice to manipulate the markets and is unashamed of it.
“My offer is my best and final offer and if it is not accepted, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder.”-elon
He is offering is offering a 50% premium on twitter shares to buy the whole thing which will pump the price higher than 50% over easily but if they don't take the deal, he will sell his 9.something percent and tell everyone that he's doing it, which will dump the price and also drag down the whole tech market.
He is obviously putting his profits into his projects and more stable assets then stocks and fiat garbage. He is building a war chest for something.
The stock market these days is 100% based on hype, (rumors and news) otherwise how the hell could dogecoin ( a joke crypto with unlimited supply and horrible fundamentals) have reached as high as it did over him just tweeting about it?
I say ignore the stock market, ignore twitter, ignore what elon says and stop contributing to their relevance.
He just got outbid, tho. So if it's really his best and final offer, the deal is dead in the water. And despite my personal despise for twit, it is relevant because it is the town crier platform that poisons the minds of normies with fake news. If a platform such as this starts allowing the truth to be spoken, will the tide turn faster?
I saw that he got outbid that's an interesting twist. to answer your ?, yes I think the tide would turn faster if the truth were allowed to be spoken. Do you think elon intends for that to be allowed or that he simply wants to be the guy that get paid by the highest bidder to push narratives and do a littl;e manipulation along the way for some extra cas?
I think Elon is working on his own behalf and the fallout may or may not be of benefit to the rest of us. I see no altruism in this move at all. But I know Q said to look to Twitter so I see that as a way for "the storm is upon us" tweet to occur.
You make good points. EM became the richest person alive during Trump's Presidency. Congress caught many times doing insider trades of TSLA, etc. EM is deeply connected and I think we may see now whether he is truly on our side, or not.
Yes and to me, the fact that he bought almost 10% publicly to gain additional leverage before he announced his offer just makes it seem more like a manipulation thing to me. He can pay all the sec fines and still profit if they go after that one. He makes the statement that iit's not a threat to sell his shares if they dont sell to him but f they keep running twitter the same way it's not a good investment. If it's not a good investment, whey would he buy 10% of the company unless it was to get leverage?
I disagree, our attention is the most valuable commodity that exists in our world, don't waste it.
