Yeah, pretty bonehead move by Dallas Jenkins (and team) not to at least notify The Chosen followers that this outdoor sign campaign was satire.
They have an email list of hundreds of thousands they could’ve communicated with beforehand.
...they were caught off guard by their own "element of surprise"...

A good PR campaign could have headed the issues off at the pass.
