You are right, Jesus will judge the heart. And that's where you need to leave it. It is inappropriate for you to label someone's good works as meaningless just because you're insecure about your faith.
Study Jesus a little more closely and you'll start to realize that this whole notion of needing church and all the other made up non-sense is mostly derivative and has been used to take the good things Christ taught and pervert them to sow division.
If what you said was even remotely true, there would be one singular denomination of Christianity. Yet there are thousands because people can't agree on basic level things, but I blame Paul for a lot of that. At the end of the day you claim to follow Jesus, then I hope by your actions that is true and good enough for me.
